Hard Times With a Peace of Mind - Tribute to the WW2 Generation

Who were the people who made up the heroic World War II generation?  Here's a photo montage of what looks like heartland and southern United States during the 1930s depression.  These people would later raise their hands to volunteer and help defeat the German, Japanese, Italian Axis powers.  These are the people who provided the world with what it needed to turn this pivotal point in history in the direction of peace, freedom, and prosperity.
